A H"U2"ge weekend

What a busy weekend!

On Friday night Meeks and I went and saw U2 at Telstra Stadium. It was an awesome concert. Our tickets were only B Reserve but the view was pretty good anyway.


Many thanks to Phil and Shaz for baby sitting Mitch so we could go.

On Saturday Mitch had his third swimming lesson. He was such a good boy and so very cute.


It's not like it's a lot of exercise, but going swimming just exhausts him. When we got home he slept for 2 hours straight! Normally he doesn't sleep for more than 45 minutes at a time.

The bathroom saga continues. It's almost finished, aside from the shower screen. We're quite happy with the way it turned out, it will be great when it is finally finished though.

Finishing work, and U2 postponed!

After finding it harder and harder at work the past few weeks, Meeks has decided she's had enough so she will be finishing work at the end of next week (17th March) which is two weeks ahead of schedule. She's looking forward to doing a number of little things around the house and resting. I guess that means we don't have to compete for the shower in the mornings any more :)

In other BIG news, if you don't already know, U2 has postponed the Australian leg of their tour. This could potentially be a disaster as depending on when they postpone it to, we might not be able to go! There were tears I can tell you! Hopefully it is either a short (less than a month) or long postponement (more than 3 months) because otherwise it is going to be very tough to go. There are rumours floating around about the concert being postponed to a November timeframe which would be great, but they're only rumours at this stage. Thanks to those who have already generously offered to baby sit when we go to see U2!

That's all the news for now, I promise I will get those nursery photos online soon (sorry Mum - although she could just come and visit. We don't live THAT far away!).

U2 here we come

We took the day off to try and get U2 tickets yesterday. For those of you who don't know, they sold out 70,000 tickets in a little over and hour. We tried to get on to Ticketek on the internet and via the phone for 90 minutes yesterday and didn't get through once. Fortunately we had registered for Mastercard Applause, Mastcard's preferred ticket thing, and were able to get a package through them which includes B Reserve tickets and a pre-concert cocktail party at Star City. So we have tickets yay!

U2 is coming to Sydney

Not really pregnancy related, but almost as important (perhaps more so in Meeks' eyes), is that U2 will be in Sydney at the end of March. The only listed date is 31st March with Tickets going on sale 5th December. So if you know anyone who knows anyone who can get us tickets (seated tickets, after all Meeks will be 7 and a half months pregnant) then call us!
