Mitch's Birthday pictures

Mitch's 2nd Birthday was a week ago and I have finally whittled the images down to a more limited set.

First up is Meeks' brilliant Thomas the Tank Engine cake began a train themed party.

There were 7 children at the party and they tucked into a bunch of yummy food.


Mitch was old enough to understand the enjoyment of opening presents this year. He didn't so much care what was inside, but definitely enjoyed the opening process! Here is a photo in the midst of present unwrapping frenzy.


There were lots of activities including decorating train biscuits.

Then it was time for the cake. Lighting the candles:

Dad's Birthday

We had dinner for my Dad's birthday at Mike and Mandy and Lilly's place on Sunday night. Mitch and Lilly enjoyed the chance to play together.
First there was drawing together


Then there was reading a book with Meeks

Then there was reading a book with Uncle Mike before Lilly went to bed.


Dad loves his Morgan. If you don't know what a Morgan is, have a look here. Given his love of his car we thought we'd make an appropriate cake.

Once again, Meeks' genius shone through in icing the cake.

In other news, the flower on the now identified camelia has opened. It's very pretty!

Mother's Group 1st Birthday Party Picnic

Today we had a joint 1st Birthday for all the children in Meeks Mothers' Group. It was at Fagan Park in Dural and it was a beautiful warm winter's day.

Meeks and I got there a bit early so Mitch had a chance to play on the play gym by himself.

Then we had some fun on the slide.



When the other's had arrived we had lunch and Meeks made another huge birthday cake.




In other news, the car is repaired and back home again which is great.

Mitch's 1st Birthday Party

We were blessed with wonderful weather for Mitch's 1st Birthday Party today. A blue sky, the park next door, family, and good friends made for a wonderful day.
