Raspberries and cheeky smiles - A video!

Just before Christmas I ordered a new DSLR camera to replace the faithful and still very good Pentax K100D. It is the new middle of the range Pentax K-X. It has a number of advantages over the old camera. One of the fun things about it is that it does HD video as well as stills. I was playing around with it today and shot this little video of Lucas making raspberries (which he loves to do!) and Sam just being cute!

Enjoy!

Oooh, Dave. Now don't spoil your mother and I with video footage... we may come to expect it! Very cute.

I agree, very cute! I'm also quite amazed by the quality of the video from the K-x. Such nice skin tones under non-ideal lighting - very impressive! I've decided to forget about getting a camcorder - instead, I'll be getting a new DSLR!

I suppose you applied some noise filter after shooting your video. Otherwise, i have no idea what settings you applied there(before shooting) to get that amazing quality.

In response to laurentiu, I didn't apply any NR in post production on the video. All I did was convert it from 720P to something smaller (I can remember exactly what format it is there) using Windows Movie Maker. It may be the camera applies NR internally, but I'm not sure. In terms of in camera settings the only thing I can confirm is that it was shot at F2.8. I believe the shutter speed and ISO were automatically controlled. The light was from a window behind me on a bright but cloudy (if that makes sense) day.
