Holly and the boys

It's been a nasty weekend with a bug going through the family but fortunately today we were all largely feeling better (though still possibly contagious) which meant a day at home. I had a bit of a chance to take some photos of the kids as we near Christmas. Getting them all in the same photo and smiling turned out to be impossible without some extensive Photoshop so it will have to be some separate shots. First the boys under the tree out the front:

And then Holly in a pretty dress in the cubby house:

Beautiful little girl

I took a few cute photos of Holly which I thought I'd share ...

Yum, Nutella!

And some video of Holly's latest trick ...
I know I'm biased, but she really is a beautiful little girl.

Holly Kate Clark 1 year old

Twelve months ago on a special Spring day at a very early hour of the morning Holly Kate came into our lives. She was precious and beautiful. After a shaky start with jaundice she has enriched all our lives in a way that we could not have expected. She is always full of smiles even when she's sick (which has happened a lot) and she loves to play and cuddle and is just a delight to be around. Her brothers adore her and she adores them. Her parents love her to bits and I fear I will never be able to say no to her, "What's that Holly? You want a car? Of course I'll go and buy it for you now!".

Anyway, the last few days have been a bit of a first birthday festival and here is a series of shots over a number of days. If you can't see the slideshow click this link to see the photos or just follow the link on the right of this page to our Flickr page.

Father's Day

I always consider myself blessed to have such a beautiful wife and healthy wonderful children, but today is a special day. We started the day (after a sleep in) with pancakes (yum!) followed by intensive lego with the boys

Then it was into the backyard for soccer, rolls (where we roll the ball to each other) and then trampoline
After that there was a picnic in the backyard, more playing and time in the sandpit

Then off to visit the grandparents

I am a lucky man.

Our Bush Walk

Today our family went on a bush walk. We went the wrong way at first but dad looked on his phone and we turned around. Then we saw a hollow tree.

We saw lots of flowers.

We had a drink and some lollies. Then we walked back to the car then we drove home.
The end.

Holly on the grass

It was a beautiful winters day today and I had just mowed the back lawn so Holly got to have a little play on the grass.

Mitch's soccer team photos

Yes afternoon I had the pleasure of taking the team photos for Mitch's soccer team. They had a professional supplied by the club take a photo of the team in the usual (boring) team pose earlier on in the season, but I thought I might try and do a better job and make something more memorable for the team. Fortunately the coach and parents agreed to give me a go. So yesterday I took over the whole training session and took photos eleven 5 and 6 year olds for an hour. They behaved really well, or as well as could be expected.

I dragged pretty much all my kit up to the oval and after a bit of setting up I did some set up shots, which Lucas and Sam helped out with:

After I got myself set up we had whole team photos like this:
having a bit of fun along the way

and then a couple of portrait shots for each child in front of the team. Here was Mitch's one:
then finally there were a couple of action shots for each child. Here's one of Mitch's:
Not a bad effort in about 50 minutes with eleven 5 and 6 year olds. Overall I was really happy with the results and I have had heaps of positive feedback from the other parents which is great!

Holly in Blue, Jedis, Soccer and Holly eating a biscuit

So maybe it's been a couple of months since I put up a blog post!

Anyway here are a couple of pictures of Holly to keep Ganny happy!

And the boys playing Jedi with Mitch wearing the Jedi cloak Meeks made on her sewing machine (without a pattern!)

And some recent ones of Mitch from Soccer:

And a few more of Holly from June
